Tariffs Spark Coffee and Vanilla Supply Worries

President Donald Trump's recent tariffs have caused chaos in global markets, especially concerning coffee and vanilla supplies in the US. With tariffs of 46% on Vietnam and 47% on Madagascar, consumers are worried about rising prices and shortages. Madagascar produces 80% of the world's vanilla, while Vietnam is the main source of coffee for the US. Although some coffee and vanilla are grown in Hawaii, they can't meet national demand. Brazil might benefit from this situation for coffee, while the European Union could step in for vanilla, making trade adjustments to circumvent high tariffs.
