Indian Railways has revolutionized ticket booking by enabling passengers to purchase unreserved and platform tickets via a mobile app, eliminating the need to queue up at stations. The new rule removes the previous 50 km outer limit geo-fencing distance restriction, allowing passengers to book tickets from any station, regardless of their location. While the internal limit remains within station premises, passengers can now conveniently book tickets from the comfort of their homes.
