CEAT Shares Jump 10% After Acquiring Camso’s Off-Highway Tyres Business

CEAT Ltd shares surged 12.1% to an all-time high of ₹3,466.40 after the company announced acquiring Camso’s off-highway tyres (OHT) and tracks business from Michelin for ₹1,905 crore. This move strengthens CEAT's global presence in high-margin OHT markets, adding over 40 international OEMs and premium distributors to its customer base. The acquisition includes Camso’s revenue-generating business of ₹213 million (CY 2023), two manufacturing units, and global brand rights after a 3-year licensing period. CEAT aims to expand its product portfolio, covering agriculture, construction, and material-handling tyres, furthering its ambition to lead the global tyre market.
