Indian Drug Company Aids Russia in Accessing NVIDIA Chips Amid Restrictions

Shreya Life Sciences, a Mumbai-based drug company, has reportedly exported Dell’s high-tech PowerEdge XE9680 servers containing NVIDIA or AMD chips to Russia, skirting U.S. and EU restrictions.

Bloomberg revealed that from April to August, Shreya sent 1,111 units worth $300 million to two Russian firms. These servers, used in advanced applications, were originally imported from Malaysia. India, second only to China, now plays a significant role in supplying restricted technology to Russia as India opts out of Western sanctions, benefiting from discounted Russian oil and maintaining military ties.
