Jeff Bezos Sells $3 Billion in Amazon Shares, Still Ranks 2nd Richest Globally

Jeff Bezos, Amazon's founder, has sold over $3 billion worth of Amazon shares this year, bringing his 2024 stock sales to more than $13 billion. Bezos, now worth $222 billion, is the world's second-richest individual, just behind Elon Musk.

The sale coincided with Amazon’s stock nearing $200 per share, marking its highest value since the company's 1997 NASDAQ debut. Bezos still holds around 10.8% of Amazon’s shares.
