Jupiter Wagons’ subsidiary, Jupiter Tatravagonka, will set up a new plant in Odisha to produce forged wheelsets with a ₹2,500 crore investment. The plant will boost the company’s production from 20,000 to one lakh wheelsets annually by 2027. About 50% of the output will serve international markets, including Europe, aligning with India’s "Make in India" vision.
Managing Director Vivek Lohia said the facility will use advanced technology to enhance growth and efficiency in rail infrastructure manufacturing.
