The Maharashtra Government has moved the Eid-e-Milad holiday from September 16 to September 18, 2024.
As a result, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced that markets for Government securities, foreign exchange, money markets, and rupee interest rate derivatives will remain closed on September 18. All settlements originally scheduled for that day will be postponed to September 19. Markets will operate normally on September 16 and 17, with transactions and settlements proceeding as planned.
