Mumbai Man Loses Rs 90 Lakh in WhatsApp Investment Scam

A Mumbai man lost Rs 90 lakh after joining a WhatsApp group that promised expert investment tips. The group, claiming to be run by "foreign experts," persuaded the victim to open an "Institutional Trading Account" via a mobile app.

Initially, he saw a virtual profit of Rs 15.69 crore, reinforcing his belief in the scheme. However, when he tried to withdraw funds, the scammers demanded a 10% profit fee, revealing the scam.
