Renewable Energy to Power 90% of World by 2050, says Minister

Union Power Minister R.K. Singh believes renewable sources could provide 65% of global electricity by 2030 and even up to 90% by 2050. He emphasized that 80% of the world relies on fossil fuels, affecting 6 billion people.

Singh, also ISA president, highlighted the G20 Summit's call for cleaner energy. He urged cooperation to accelerate the transition. The goal is tripling global renewable capacity by 2030, incorporating zero-emission tech, blended finance, and risk-sharing.

Chrysoula Zacharopoulou praised ISA's work in combating climate change, and Ajay Mathur noted impressive growth in clean energy investment, urging more support for developing economies.
