SoftBank made a big $7.7 billion profit in the September quarter, helped by many Indian startups going public and rising tech stock values.
This is a huge improvement from last year’s loss of ¥931 billion. SoftBank’s income reached ¥1.18 trillion, much higher than the ¥295 billion experts expected. SoftBank’s Vision Fund earned ¥373 billion, boosted by IPOs of companies like Ola Electric and FirstCry. Swiggy’s upcoming $1.3 billion IPO was very popular, showing a strong time for SoftBank’s investments in India.
