Flipkart has apologized for a promotional ad that referred to husbands as "aalsi" (lazy), "kambakkht" (unfortunate), and "bewakoof" (foolish). The ad, which was meant to promote the 'Big Billion Days' sale, faced backlash on social media, with many calling it misandrist and toxic. It featured a woman hiding handbags from her husband. After widespread criticism, including from the NCMIndia Council For Men Affairs, Flipkart removed the ad and stated that it was shared in error. The Big Billion Days sale continues until October 6.
