Mamaearth's IPO Strategy Explained

Ghazal Alagh, co-founder of Mamaearth's parent company Honasa Consumer, addressed questions about the high Offer for Sale (OFS) in their upcoming IPO.

She outlined three key reasons: the largest investor isn't selling, promoters retain 97% ownership, and those in the OFS hold more than they're selling. OFS involves current stakeholders selling shares, with funds going to them, not the company.

The IPO includes Rs 365 crore in fresh equity and an OFS of 4.12 crore shares. The IPO closes on November 2, with shares priced at Rs 308-324. Mamaearth aims to raise Rs 1,701 crore, valuing the company at Rs 10,425 crore.
