- What is an FD Credit Card?
An FD credit card is a secured credit card backed by a fixed deposit (FD). It works just like any other credit card and is a 2-in-1 product where you earn interest of up to 7% on your FD and get benefits of credit card as well. - Do I need to book a new FD to get Rupicard?
Yes, you need to book a new FD. - Is my FD safe?
Yes, your fixed deposit is totally safe and secure as it is booked with an RBI-approved bank. Like all Bank FDs, your FD is also insured by DIGCC up to Rs. 5 lakhs. No matter what happens to the Bank, your money is insured and safe. You will also get your Fixed Deposit Receipt after booking the FD on the app.
- Will I earn interest on my FD?
Yes, you will earn up to 7% interest per annum on your FD.
- How much credit limit will I get on booking FD?
Your Rupicard credit card limit will be 90% of your FD amount. The bigger your FD, the higher your credit limit. You can also top up your FD to increase your credit limit.
- Do I need to book an FD every month?
No, you just need to book an FD once, and your credit limit renews every month.
- What is the eligibility for Rupicard FD credit card?
You just need to be above 18 years of age to apply for Rupicard. We do not need your income documents or credit score to issue Rupicard. On completing the application and booking FD, you will get a guaranteed credit card instantly. The physical card will also be couriered to you.
- Will I be charged any joining or annual fee?

Yes, you will get up to 45 days of free credit period. Rupicard interest rates are one of the lowest at only 2.5% per month. You need not pay any interest if you make full payment on your statement due date.
- Benefits of building a good credit score
A good credit score is required for applying for any loan for your life needs (car loan / home loan / education loan / even personal or business loan for emergencies). But a good score takes time to build and can not be changed in a few days. It is advised to used Rupicard so that you take your score to 750+ in next few months and always be ready for the time when you need a loan in future. Not only that, a good score also helps you get better interest rate- -the higher your score, the lower your interest rate is.
- Will you send card statement every month?
The billing statement will be shared over email, on a monthly basis to you, and will also be available on your Rupicard App.
- What is my credit period / statement period?
Your statement will be generated on the 1st of every month. It will contain a break-up of all purchases, repayments, fees, interest charges, refunds and taxes. In case the card was not used in a month, the statement will mention there were no spends in that month.
- How can we make payment for card dues?
When you get your statement, you can choose to pay the full amount (Total Amount Due) or pay just a percentage of the Total Amount Due. This is known as Minimum Amount Due (MAD), and at least this amount must be paid before the Payment Due Date. The remaining balance can be carried forward to subsequent months. This Minimum Amount Due will be: 5 % of the outstanding amount
You can also pay the Total Amount Due or an amount between the Minimum Amount Due and Total Amount Due.
