
Market Resilience: FIIs Bounce Back in India
On May 23, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) made a surprising comeback by net buying equities worth Rs 1,796 crore, following significant selling the previous day. Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) also supported the market, net purchasing Rs 300 crore. The market showed resilience with benchmark indices, Nifty and Sensex, rebounding strongly, led by banking, IT, and metal stocks. Despite global uncertainties, volatility remained low, indicating underlying strength in the market. Key sectors like FMCG and IT performed well, while pharma stocks lagged behind.
