Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi Launch Ramayana Promotions
Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi have officially launched the promotional campaign for their highly anticipated film, "Ramayana," at the Pratham Sankalp event held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on July 18. This event drew a crowd of notable personalities, including director Nitesh Tiwari and co-producer Namit Malhotra, as well as the talented cast members like Arun Govil, Ravi Dubey, and Rakul Preet Singh.
Despite being diagnosed with conjunctivitis, Ranbir attended the event, demonstrating his commitment to the project. Reports suggest that the infection likely came from his daughter, Raha, as conjunctivitis is easily spread through close contact. Ranbir took necessary precautions to ensure everyone's safety while promoting this epic film.
The event was not just about speeches and announcements; it also featured a mesmerizing performance by sitarist Rishab Rikhiram Sharma, who debuted a new song titled "Rama Rama." The musical accompaniment for "Ramayana" is crafted by renowned composers AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer, further elevating the film's appeal. Videos of Sharma’s captivating performance quickly circulated on social media, leaving many viewers feeling envious of those who witnessed it live.
The Delhi event marks the beginning of an extensive international promotion for "Ramayana." The team is set to head to the San Diego Comic-Con 2026, where they will present the film at one of the world's largest pop culture conventions. This appearance is significant as "Ramayana" will become only the second Indian film, following "Kalki 2898 AD," to be showcased at this prestigious event. Ranbir Kapoor, along with Yash and producer Namit Malhotra, will represent the ambitious project.
Produced by Prime Focus Studios and Yash's Monster Mind Creations, "Ramayana" is planned as a two-part cinematic spectacle directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The first chapter is expected to release in theaters during Diwali 2026, with the concluding installment set for Diwali 2027, creating a buzz in the Indian film industry and among fans worldwide.
