This year, he will mark the occasion with a special episode of the beloved quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati, featuring renowned guests Javed Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar. The excitement builds as recent promos reveal heartwarming moments of Amitabh cutting a birthday cake alongside his esteemed guests.
What truly captivated the audience was Amitabh’s recreation of a powerful dialogue from his landmark film Zanjeer. In the promotional clip shared by Sony TV, he delivered the line, “jab tak bethne ko naa kaha jaaye khade raho, yeh police thana hai, tumhare baap ka ghar nahi,” with such intensity that it left Javed visibly impressed. Farhan, seated next to Javed, couldn’t help but applaud the legendary actor, showcasing the magic that Amitabh continues to wield even years after his initial success.
Zanjeer, released in 1973, was a turning point in Indian cinema. Directed by Prakash Mehra and penned by the iconic duo Salim-Javed, the film starred Amitabh as Inspector Vijay, a tough and honest police officer.
