Ayushmann Khurrana is riding high on the success of his latest film, Thamma. The actor recently engaged with fans during an interactive Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Instagram, where he answered questions and shared his thoughts on the film's success. One fan playfully referred to him as the Captain America of Maddock's horror comedy universe. In response, Ayushmann humorously declined the comparison, stating, "Mat kar lala. Nahi chahiye hume bahar ki validation," emphasizing the importance of their unique, desi universe.

During the session, Ayushmann expressed how special Thamma is for him, especially as it marks his first major release on Diwali. He shared his excitement, saying, "Neend acchi aarahi hai," indicating that he is sleeping well due to the film's success. The actor fondly recalled that he used to watch films during Diwali, but this time, it feels different as he is showcasing his own film.

Thamma has already made a significant impact at the box office, earning over ₹50 crore in just three days. Ayushmann referred to the Maddock horror comedy universe (MHCU) as "the best universe in Indian cinema," expressing his excitement for its growth and future mergers. The film revolves around a journalist who encounters a mysterious woman and transforms into a vampiric creature called Betal, tasked with saving humanity from an ancient evil.
