HDFC Bank's Gross NPA ratio remained stable, and the bank's management expressed confidence in sustaining credit growth in FY27. The bank also declared a dividend, rewarding long-term shareholders. Analysts particularly highlighted the significant fall in provisions, which indicates that the bank's loan book stress has eased considerably compared to prior quarters. The results came alongside strong numbers from ICICI Bank, which reported NII growth of 8.43% to ₹22,979 crore and PAT growth of 8.49% to ₹13,702 crore with Gross NPA at a record low of 1.40%. Yes Bank also reported a sharp surge in profits driven by strong loan growth. The combined results of India's top private banks for Q4 FY26 painted a picture of a resilient banking sector, with credit growth supported by healthy consumer demand and improving corporate balance sheets.
