Suryakumar Yadav, the captain of the Indian cricket team, is celebrating a fantastic victory after India triumphed over Australia by 48 runs in the 4th T20I at Carrara Oval. This win put India ahead in the series with a score of 2-1, ensuring they cannot lose the series, as only one match remains to be played.

The match showcased the brilliance of Indian openers Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma, who laid a solid foundation with a partnership of 56 runs off 40 balls. Gill emerged as the highest scorer for India, contributing 46 runs off 39 balls. Suryakumar praised the batters' approach, highlighting their understanding of the pitch conditions. "The way Shubman and Abhishek started, they knew this was not a 200-220 wicket. They batted very smartly," he noted.

In addition to the batting performance, the bowlers also played a crucial role in India’s comprehensive win. Australia, chasing a target of 168 runs, was all out for just 119 runs. Suryakumar remarked on the clear communication among players, stating, "Me and Gauti (Gautam Gambhir) bhai, we are on the same page." The team adapted to conditions, including some dew, which impacted the game.

The contribution from all-rounders was significant, with Shivam Dube and Axar Patel each taking two wickets, putting Australia on the back foot early in the innings. Washington Sundar then showcased his skills by taking wickets in consecutive deliveries, further triggering Australia’s collapse after the first ten overs. "Always good to have bowlers give you 2-3 overs. This combination suits us," Suryakumar added.

Axar Patel emerged as the star of the match, earning the Player of the Match award for his all-round performance. In addition to his two wickets, he scored an unbeaten 21 runs off just 11 balls, helping India surpass the 160-run mark. Axar humbly stated, "If I have an impact for my team, I think that’s the best game for me." He emphasized his adaptability, saying he focuses on what the team needs at any moment, regardless of his batting position.
