Ishitta and Sonu Recreate Bijuria Magic

17 Sep, 2025

In a delightful throwback to the past, Ishitta Arun and Sonu Nigam have reunited to recreate their iconic 1999 track "Bijuria," but this time with a humorous twist. The two original stars shared an Instagram skit that showcases their playful banter and nostalgia for their earlier days in the music industry. It’s a refreshing take, especially for fans who have followed their careers over the years.

In the video, Ishitta humorously remarks, “Bachchon ne accha kiya hai” (The kids have done well), referencing the new generation of artists. Sonu quickly agrees, adding, “Bohot mast kiya hai, bohot accha kiya hai” (They’ve done a great job, really good). However, he cheekily reminisces about their own performance, saying, “Humne bhi accha hi kiya tha” (We also did it well). This nostalgic reflection sets the stage for a fun back-and-forth between the two.

The skit takes a humorous turn when Ishitta recalls their original music video, asking Sonu if he remembers the iconic red jacket and green dress they wore. Sonu, pretending to be tired and defeated, sighs, “Ab nahi kar payenge yaar” (We won’t be able to do it now). Ishitta’s shocked response, “Kya matlab?” (What do you mean?), leads to her playfully yanking him by the arm, declaring, “Mat bhoolo hum kaun hai… karke dikhayenge!” (Don’t forget who we are… we’ll show them!).

As the skit unfolds, viewers see the duo rise to the challenge, despite their mock pain from old age. They then cut to a scene where they are fully dressed up, energetically dancing to an updated version of "Bijuria," seamlessly mixing their original choreography with new moves. This moment is a powerful reminder of their enduring chemistry and charm.

Fans expressed their joy and nostalgia in the comments, with one user writing, “OG will always be OG,” while another referred to Sonu as the “Justin Timberlake of our time.” Many praised their timeless charm and eagerly requested Sonu to return to solo pop music. The skit not only highlights the duo’s talent but also their ability to connect with fans through humor and nostalgia.

The new film, "Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari," featuring this refreshed version of "Bijuria," is generating buzz. Directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Dharma Productions, the film stars Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor among others, and is set to hit theaters on October 2nd. This combination of nostalgia with contemporary cinema is sure to attract both old fans and new audiences alike.
