Jaideep Ahlawat's Emotional Moment with Manoj Bajpayee
Jaideep Ahlawat's rise to fame has been nothing short of inspiring, especially with his impactful performance in The Family Man Season 3. As he takes on the role of Rukmangadha Sinha, affectionately known as Rukma, audiences have connected deeply with his character. Recently, during a lighthearted chat with fellow actors Manoj Bajpayee, Priyamani, and Nimrat Kaur, Jaideep shared a poignant moment from his career that left him in tears.
The discussion took a humorous turn as comedians Ravi Gupta and Kusha Kapila reenacted a viral scene from the show. The laughter was infectious, but it soon gave way to deeper emotions when Jaideep recalled a significant phone call from Manoj Bajpayee after the success of Paatal Lok. “When Season 1 released, I got a phone call from Manoj Bajpayee. He spoke to me for 20 minutes. I will never forget that. After the call, I cried a lot,” he revealed.
Curiosity piqued, Kusha asked Manoj what he had said during that call. Bajpayee responded, “I told him, ‘Please open a film institute. I want to become your student.’” This moment highlighted the warmth and support that can exist in a competitive industry. Manoj also touched on a common sentiment among actors, stating, “One actor never praises another. They won’t call to appreciate someone’s work because they’re insecure.”
Both actors have faced their share of struggles before achieving recognition. Manoj Bajpayee's journey is well-known; he faced multiple rejections from the National School of Drama and experienced tough times in Mumbai. He shared, “The worst days of my life were when I left Delhi for Mumbai. In Delhi, I worked 18 hours a day, often without money — but I was creatively satisfied.” His breakthrough came with the film Satya, followed by Gangs of Wasseypur, which solidified his place in the industry.
Jaideep Ahlawat's path was equally challenging. He debuted in 2008 but only gained fame with Paatal Lok at the age of 40. This series turned him into an overnight sensation and opened doors to leading roles in various projects like Jaane Jaan and Maharaj. Both Jaideep and Manoj's stories reflect their resilience and dedication, serving as an inspiration for aspiring actors in India.
