Mira Kapoor's Morning Routine: A Balanced Start

05 Dec, 2025

Mira Kapoor, a popular figure in India, recently opened up about her morning routine, which she cherishes as a sacred time before diving into her busy day. She shares that once her kids are off to school, she enjoys a peaceful 30 minutes to herself, engaging in activities without distractions. “I like to be quiet,” she explains, noting that her husband, actor Shahid Kapoor, understands her need for this calm before her day begins.

During these quiet moments, Mira avoids checking her messages and emails, which she believes helps her maintain a relaxed atmosphere even at the breakfast table. Instead, she prefers reading the newspaper, embracing a slightly old-school approach. Breakfast is also a time to connect with family, often involving video calls with her sister or friends. When Shahid is in town, they enjoy their mornings together before heading into a busy day filled with work.

Upon returning home, Mira’s routine remains consistent. She struggles to find time for workouts amidst her responsibilities and has settled on exercising twice a week to stay consistent. “The moment I have to do it four days a week, I feel bad about missing the other two,” she admits. Evenings are often spent with her kids as they engage in various classes or sports activities. Her daughter, Misha, now nine, keeps her entertained and busy with her friends.

After the kids go to bed, Mira and Shahid wind down by watching movies or browsing their phones together, sharing funny reels while sitting next to each other. Recently, Mira added a new wellness gadget to her routine: a vibration plate. She excitedly mentions testing it out while brushing her teeth, trying to multitask during her morning rituals.

However, experts like consultant dietitian Kanikka Malhotra advise that while using a vibration plate can seem enjoyable, it offers minimal benefits when used passively. “Whole-body vibration works best with active movements and structured exercise routines,” she states. Thus, it’s essential to consider such gadgets as an addition to a balanced diet and a well-rounded fitness plan.

Mira Kapoor’s balanced approach to her morning routine reflects the ongoing struggle many face in managing family life while prioritizing self-care and wellness. Her journey showcases the blend of traditional practices with modern wellness trends, encouraging others to find what works best for them.
