13 Jan, 2026

Actor Ram Charan recently made headlines by confirming the release date of his upcoming film, Peddi. Set to hit theaters on March 27, 2026, the film has been surrounded by rumors of delays. However, during an event for Roshan Meka’s film Champion, Ram Charan assured fans that the shooting is progressing and that the film will be released as planned.

The announcement comes at a time when the Indian film industry is gearing up for a competitive landscape. Peddi will not only compete with Ram Charan's other project, Champion, but also with several other major releases. Films like Dhurandhar 2, Dacoit, and Toxic are all scheduled for release around the same time, creating a buzz among cinema-goers.

As of now, March 2026 is packed with potential blockbusters. Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2 is set to release on March 19, while the much-anticipated Dacoit, featuring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, will debut on the same day as Peddi. Additionally, Geetu Mohandas’ Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is also slated for a March release. This means audiences will have a plethora of options, making it crucial for each film to stand out.

The competition is heating up, and producers are optimistic about their films' success. Supriya Yarlagadda, producer of Dacoit, expressed her hope that all films releasing during this summer season will do well. She mentioned, “It’s the summer, so I hope every film releasing then does well. Memu aithe sureshot,” indicating confidence in the project's success.

As the release dates approach, the excitement among fans is palpable. With multiple films vying for audience attention, it remains to be seen how Peddi will perform at the box office. Ram Charan's fans are eagerly anticipating the film, and as the date draws nearer, the buzz surrounding it is only expected to grow.
