Saif Ali Khan's Fun Marriage Advice from His Father

10 Oct, 2025

In a recent episode of the celebrity talk show Two Much, Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar shared insights into their personal lives and careers. The duo engaged with hosts Twinkle Khanna and Kajol, providing a glimpse into their relationships and experiences as actors. Saif opened up about his marriage to Kareena Kapoor, revealing that like any couple, they face disagreements. However, he has a unique way of handling them, inspired by his father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi.

During the discussion, Saif recounted a humorous piece of advice from his father regarding marital disputes. He asked Mansoor how he managed fights with his wife, to which he replied, "I just think about playing cricket or something during the argument. And I don't say anything. He said, 'Listen.' It looks like you're listening." This light-hearted approach offers a refreshing perspective on managing conflicts in marriage.

Akshay Kumar chimed in, agreeing with Saif’s fatherly wisdom. He described the dynamics of his marriage, saying, "She [Twinkle] is fire. I am water. She says whatever she wants to. I just keep myself calm and quiet. Just listen and try to understand what she’s trying to say.” His take on listening highlights a vital aspect of communication within relationships, reinforcing that husbands should prioritize understanding their partners.

Saif and Kareena’s relationship has been a topic of fascination since they began dating in 2007 while filming Tashan. They married on October 16, 2012, and have since welcomed two sons: Taimur Ali Khan, born in 2016, and Jehangir Ali Khan, born in 2021. Saif’s journey includes a previous marriage to actress Amrita Singh, with whom he has two children, Sara and Ibrahim.

On the professional front, Saif recently starred in Netflix's film Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins, alongside notable actors like Jaideep Ahlawat and Kunal Kapoor. Directed by Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal, the film has garnered attention since its streaming release. Saif is set to appear next in Priyadarshan's film, Haiwaan, where he will share the screen with Akshay Kumar and Saiyami Kher.

Through his candid revelations about love, marriage, and professional life, Saif Ali Khan continues to resonate with audiences, offering relatable insights into modern relationships.
