Urmila Matondkar is set to make a significant comeback in the world of entertainment with her upcoming OTT series titled "Tiwari." This much-anticipated series is scheduled for a release in February 2026. Despite circulating rumors about delays and disputes regarding the project, producer Utpal Acharya has stepped forward to clarify that everything is on track.
The storyline of "Tiwari" revolves around a woman named Kalki, played by Urmila, who embarks on a quest for justice after being wrongfully imprisoned for a crime she did not commit. After spending 14 long years in jail, her character's journey is one of revenge and resolution, which is bound to captivate the audience.
Acharya emphasized that "Tiwari" was filmed in a single schedule in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. He reassured fans and stakeholders alike that the show is currently in the post-production stage, and all the reports suggesting otherwise are false. "There are no creative differences or conflicts with the director, Saurabh Varma," he stated, putting to rest any concerns regarding the production.
One notable change in the series’ format is the alteration of episode length. Initially planned as seven episodes of 50 minutes each, the series will now feature 14 episodes, each lasting 25 minutes. This decision was made to ensure a smoother narrative flow, especially given that "Tiwari" is a revenge-thriller drama.
Urmila’s commitment to her role has been commendable. According to Acharya, she was always ready and prepared at 5:30 am for her makeup and hair, showcasing her professionalism. This dedication is likely to translate into a compelling performance that fans have been eagerly waiting for.
