In a two-day span, a total of 128 opposition MPs, including Shashi Tharoor, Dimple Yadav, and Manish Tewari, were suspended from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
The suspension resulted from MPs displaying placards, violating the agreement against such actions in the new Parliament building. The opposition seeks a statement from Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the December 13 security breach in Parliament.
In Rajya Sabha, Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee was suspended for mimicking the chairman during a protest.
