Air India Penalized ₹ 90 Lakh for Flying with Unqualified Crew

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has fined Air India ₹ 90 lakh for operating a flight with a non-qualified crew.

The airline's Director of Operations and Director of Training were also fined ₹ 6 lakh and ₹ 3 lakh, respectively. The violation occurred when a non-trainer captain was paired with a first officer who had not been released for line duties. After an internal investigation, the DGCA found multiple regulatory breaches.
