Bharti Airtel has decided to shut down its streaming service, Wynk Music, ten years after its launch. All Wynk employees will be absorbed into Airtel's ecosystem.
The telecom giant is shifting its Wynk users to Apple Music, offering exclusive discounted rates unavailable elsewhere. This move is part of a strategic partnership with Apple, which also includes deals on Apple TV+ for Airtel Xstream customers. Wynk generated around ₹250-300 crore annually but lacked a clear monetization plan.
