Amazon India’s Great Indian Festival (AGIF) 2024 set a record with 1.4 billion visits, a 27% jump from last year’s 1.1 billion.
Over 85% of visitors came from non-metro areas, reflecting increased demand beyond major cities. Amazon noted that 42,000 sellers achieved their highest single-day sales, with 70% of sales coming from Tier-II and below cities. The event saw a 25% growth in EMI adoption, while Prime sign-ups peaked in the first 48 hours. Sales of budget 5G smartphones, large appliances, and TVs surged, underscoring a shift toward digital shopping across India’s heartland.
