Apple Fires 50 Employees for Charity Fraud, Many Indians Involved

Apple has fired 50 employees, including many Indians, for misusing its Matching Grants program. This program matches employee donations to nonprofits, but some employees worked with nonprofits to fake donations. They kept Apple’s matching money, breaking company rules and tax laws. Six people, none Indian, were charged for fraud worth $152,000 over three years. They used fake nonprofits like ACICE and Hop4Kids. Reports say Telugu groups may also be linked. Apple hasn’t officially commented on the issue yet.
