Apple Now Assembles 14% of iPhones in India

Apple has significantly increased its iPhone production in India, now accounting for 14% of its global output, totaling $14 billion in value. This marks a doubling of production compared to the previous fiscal year.

The move reflects Apple's efforts to diversify beyond China, spurred by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Made in India" initiative. The government's push has created 150,000 direct jobs at Apple's suppliers, aiding Modi's vision of India as a global manufacturing hub.
