Apple will begin assembling its iPhone 16 Pro models in India, marking the first time the company will produce its Pro series outside China.
This move highlights Apple's ongoing efforts to diversify its manufacturing operations and increase its presence in the Indian market. Foxconn India will start production shortly after the global launch. Currently, India accounts for 14% of Apple's iPhone production, with plans to raise this to 25% next year. The expansion is expected to boost both Apple's supply chain and India's economy.
