Apple’s iPhone Exports from India Hit Record High!
In a remarkable achievement, Apple’s Indian suppliers, Foxconn and Tata, shipped nearly $2 billion worth of iPhones to the U.S. in March. This record shipment came as Apple rushed to send devices before potential tariffs from then-President Donald Trump. To meet demand, Apple increased production in India and used cargo flights to transport around 600 tons of iPhones. Although the U.S. imposed 26% duties on imports from India, this was still significantly less than the tariffs on China. By the end of the year, Foxconn's total shipments from India reached $5.3 billion, showcasing India's growing role in Apple's supply chain.
