The ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 is capturing the attention of cricket fans worldwide, especially in India. With the tournament taking place in India and Sri Lanka, the competition is fierce as teams battle for the prestigious title. Currently, Australia has reclaimed the top spot in the points table after a thrilling match against the host nation, India.

Australia, a seven-time World Cup winner, showcased their dominance in the tournament. Led by captain Alyssa Healy, they managed to chase down an impressive target of 331 runs against India in Visakhapatnam. Healy’s performance was stellar; she scored a remarkable 142 runs off just 107 balls, playing a pivotal role in her team's victory. Australia’s ability to perform under pressure is evident, and they are looking strong for their eighth title.

On the other hand, India started the tournament on a high note with convincing wins over Sri Lanka and Pakistan. However, they faced challenges in their last two matches, suffering narrow defeats to South Africa and Australia. With four points from four matches, India is currently sitting in third place. The team, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, will need to regroup and bounce back to stay competitive in the tournament.

England is another team to watch, currently sitting in second place in the standings. They have also had a strong performance, winning all three of their matches so far, including a commanding 10-wicket victory over South Africa. With six points from three games, England is proving to be a formidable contender for the title.

South Africa, after winning two out of three matches, holds the fourth position, while New Zealand struggles with only one win in their first three games. Bangladesh is in a similar position, tied with New Zealand in points. Sri Lanka and Pakistan round out the standings, with Pakistan yet to secure a point in this World Cup.

As the tournament progresses, the excitement continues to build. With teams like Australia and England in strong form, and India looking to bounce back, the matches promise to be thrilling as each team aims for the ultimate prize in women’s cricket.
