BEML Limited, based in Bengaluru, has landed a significant contract worth ₹867 crore to build two high-speed train sets. This order comes from the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai.
Each train set will have eight cars and will be produced at BEML's rail coach complex in Bengaluru. The delivery of these train sets is expected by the end of 2026. This contract marks a milestone for BEML, as it includes the design, manufacturing, and commissioning of India's first high-speed trains. The development is set to boost India's rail infrastructure and manufacturing capabilities.
