Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has secured a Rs 6,100 crore order from NTPC to develop a supercritical thermal power project in Chhattisgarh.
This includes the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) package for the 1x800 MW Sipat project stage-III, set for completion in 48 months. NTPC, India’s largest energy company, is 51.10% government-owned, while the government holds a 63.17% stake in BHEL, which provides a wide range of engineering services and products.
