BigBasket, owned by Tata Digital, is completely pivoting to quick commerce, aiming to dominate the 10-15 minute grocery delivery market.
The company plans to offer delivery times of 10-30 minutes shortly, building on its current BB Now service, which already makes up over 50% of its revenue. BigBasket targets $1.5 billion (Rs 12,400 crore) in sales for this fiscal year, with over 60% expected from quick commerce. Despite a revenue increase to Rs 9,468 crore in FY23, losses surged to Rs 1,785 crore. BigBasket is also eyeing an IPO in 2025.
