Tata Digital's BigBasket hit a major milestone in FY24, crossing Rs 10,000 crore in revenue, a 6.27% rise from Rs 9,468.5 crore in FY23.
The company also reduced losses by over 20%, with total expenses growing only 2% to Rs 11,515 crore. BigBasket's cost of goods sold (COGS) made up 71.3% of expenses, while employee costs dropped by 11.7%. The firm plans to consolidate its BBdaily service into its main app and focus on 10-15 minute deliveries, competing with rivals like Blinkit and Zepto. BigBasket's outstanding losses stood at Rs 7,619.85 crore, but its EBITDA margin improved to -9.39% in FY24.
