CCI Seeks Amazon, Flipkart's Turnover Details for Penalty in Anti-Trust Case

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) is nearing a decision in its four-year-old anti-trust case against Amazon and Flipkart. The regulator has requested the annual revenue details from both companies to calculate potential fines.

Under a 2023 amendment to competition law, CCI can impose a penalty of up to 10% on a company's global turnover or income from the past three financial years for anti-competitive practices. The case is in its final stages, with Amazon facing likely penalties for alleged anti-competitive behavior.
