Central Depository Services Limited (CDSL) will implement a new uniform tariff structure starting October 1, 2024, for its 130 million investors. The fee for each debit transaction will be set at Rs 3.5, down from the previous range of Rs 3.75 to Rs 5.5. This change aims to simplify transactions for investors. CDSL will maintain existing discounts: female account holders will still enjoy a Rs 0.25 discount per debit transaction, along with similar discounts for Mutual Funds and bond ISINs. Following this announcement, CDSL shares were stable at Rs 1,496, recovering from earlier lows.
