Commercial LPG Prices Get a Boost: Here's What You Need to Know

Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have increased prices of commercial LPG cylinders by ₹100, effective from November 1. This marks the second hike in two months. Notably, prices for domestic LPG used in households for cooking remain steady.

In Delhi, a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder will cost ₹1,833. A 14.2 kg domestic cylinder stays at ₹903. The government recently upped the cooking gas subsidy to ₹300 per cylinder for around 96 million low-income households.

This decision coincides with upcoming state and national elections, aiming to benefit rural women. Additionally, the PM Ujjwala Yojana scheme is set to aid an extra 7.5 million women, targeting 103.5 million beneficiaries within three years.
