Data Breach Scandal: Star Health Executive Claims to Have Sold Records of 31 Million Customers!

Star Health Insurance, one of India's largest health insurers, is facing a major data breach scandal. A hacker named xenZen claims that Amarjeet Khanuja, the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of Star Health, sold personal data of over 31 million customers.

The hacker also alleged that Khanuja tried to renegotiate for more money, supposedly on behalf of senior management, for backdoor access. The stolen data is being sold for $150,000 or in smaller batches for $10,000. Star Health has confirmed the breach but reassures that their services remain unaffected.
