Delhi Institute Scandal: Swami Chaitanyananda Exposed

25 Sep, 2025

In a deeply troubling incident, Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, a prominent figure, has been accused of running a "torture chamber" at his institute in Delhi. This shocking revelation comes amid serious allegations of sexual exploitation of female students, particularly those on the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) scholarship program.

Investigators have uncovered that Chaitanyananda, along with the institute's Dean and two female staff members, allegedly seized the academic certificates of victims to exert control over them. This tactic was reportedly used to silence complaints and prevent the students from escaping the abusive environment.

Victims have recounted horrific experiences, claiming that they were coerced into sexual exploitation. Chaitanyananda is accused of taking some students to Haridwar under the guise of performing a special puja after purchasing a new luxury car. Unfortunately, upon their return to Delhi, these students faced further abuse.

The allegations have led to multiple FIRs being filed against the accused. Following complaints forwarded to the Directorate of Education at the Air Force Headquarters, the institute took swift action. They had already registered an FIR on July 23 regarding Chaitanyananda's misconduct, indicating that concerns about his behavior had been raised well in advance.

In a bid to regain control, the institute revoked Chaitanyananda's power of attorney and established a new governing council. The authorities have also submitted over 300 pages of evidence to the police, which detail systematic abuse and harassment. This has resulted in another FIR being registered, tightening the legal noose around Chaitanyananda.

The public outrage stemming from these revelations highlights a severe issue within educational institutions where power dynamics can lead to exploitation. As investigations continue, the case raises critical questions not only about the actions of Chaitanyananda and his associates but also about the broader systemic issues that allow such abuse to persist.

With growing evidence and student testimonies, this disturbing case underscores the urgent need for accountability and reform in educational and religious institutions across India. It serves as a reminder that vigilance and action are necessary to protect the vulnerable and ensure justice in the face of exploitation.
