Delhi Red Fort Blast: Terror Module Exposed

12 Nov, 2025

A blast near Delhi's historic Red Fort has sent shockwaves across the nation, prompting a swift response from security forces. The incident occurred on a Monday evening, resulting in the tragic loss of 13 lives. In the aftermath, the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) collected over 40 samples from the explosion site, including two live cartridges and various types of explosives.

In response to this alarming event, security measures have been intensified in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh. The police have been conducting regular searches in the area using sniffer dogs to ensure public safety and prevent any further incidents. The blast has raised serious concerns regarding terrorist activities in the region, leading to a nationwide alert.

In a significant development, the Jammu and Kashmir Police have detained a preacher from Haryana named Maulvi Ishtiyaq. He is believed to be linked to a 'white collar' terror module that has been under investigation. This module reportedly includes connections to notorious groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind. The police conducted interstate raids in collaboration with Haryana and Uttar Pradesh authorities to apprehend suspects involved in this terror network.

During the investigation, officials revealed that explosives were stored at a rented residence linked to Dr. Muzammil Ganaie, also known as Musaib, and Dr. Umar Nabi, who drove the explosives-laden vehicle that detonated near the Red Fort. These details highlight the depth of the threat posed by such terror modules operating within the country.

The police have recovered a substantial quantity of explosives, including over 2,500 kg of ammonium nitrate, potassium chlorate, and sulfur from the suspects' premises. The connection to a university in Faridabad adds another layer of complexity to the case, raising questions about how such dangerous materials could be stored and used in civilian areas.

As investigations continue, the Indian government is under pressure to enhance security measures and address the rising threat of terrorism. Public safety remains a priority as authorities work tirelessly to dismantle these networks and prevent further tragedies. This incident serves as a grim reminder of the persistent challenge of terrorism in India and the need for vigilance.
