Delhi Shopkeeper Killed Over Cigarette Dispute

A 40-year-old shopkeeper, Rajender Kumar, was stabbed to death over a dispute regarding free cigarettes at his paan shop in West Patel Nagar. According to police reports, the group of attackers, including five minors, allegedly approached the shopkeeper after consuming alcohol and demanded free cigarette packets. When Rajender Kumar refused to comply and asked for payment instead, a quarrel erupted. In a fit of rage, the group stabbed him multiple times, leading to his death shortly after being admitted to RML Hospital.
The police acted swiftly, analyzing CCTV footage from the area to identify the assailants. The main accused, Md Mehtab alias Raja, a 19-year-old resident of Farid Puri, was arrested after a brief exchange of gunfire with the police.
