Dhurandhar 2 Advance Bookings Soar Past ₹9 Crore

Dhurandhar 2 is creating a buzz even before its release, with advance bookings already surpassing ₹9 crore. This is a significant achievement for the film, especially considering the popularity of the original Dhurandhar. Within just 24 hours of opening, over 87,000 tickets were sold on BookMyShow, a leading ticketing platform in India.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh noted that the film sold an impressive 7,500 tickets per hour for its paid premieres. Although this number isn’t the highest in terms of per-hour sales, it is still considered strong and is expected to grow as the release date approaches. Apart from BookMyShow, other platforms also reported substantial ticket sales, contributing to the overall excitement surrounding the film.

According to trade website Sacnilk, Dhurandhar 2 generated ₹4 crore in ticket sales worldwide within just two hours of advance bookings opening. Of this amount, ₹2.50 crore came from popular multiplex chains like PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis, with around 35,000 tickets sold in these theaters. This shows how eager audiences are to catch the film as soon as it releases.

To add to the excitement, a new premium pricing category called Super Blockbuster Plus was introduced, with tickets priced at ₹2,500 for special previews in the Delhi-NCR region. This move indicates the high expectations for the film and the willingness of fans to pay a premium to see it first.

The original Dhurandhar, released on December 5, had an impressive opening of ₹28 crore and went on to collect ₹103 crore by the end of its opening weekend. Ultimately, it grossed ₹838.5 crore in India and ₹1,303.35 crore globally. Given the success of the first film, Dhurandhar 2 is expected to surpass these numbers.

The sequel will feature the return of beloved characters played by Ranveer Singh, Sara Arjun, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and Rakesh Bedi. With such a star-studded cast and high anticipation, fans are eagerly waiting for Dhurandhar 2 to hit theaters.
