25 Mar, 2026

"Dhurandhar 2" has become a phenomenal success at the Indian box office, raking in an astonishing ₹850 crore in just five days. Released on Thursday following a record-breaking premiere on Wednesday, the film, starring Ranveer Singh, kicked off its journey with an impressive ₹145 crore domestically. This remarkable start set the tone for a weekend full of excitement and strong ticket sales.

As the days progressed, "Dhurandhar 2" continued to build momentum, grossing ₹454 crore net in India alone by Sunday. The film has not only captivated audiences but is also on track to surpass the ₹1000 crore mark, a milestone that would define its success in the industry.

In its impressive run, the film has already surpassed the lifetime collections of some of India’s biggest blockbusters. On Monday, as it crossed the ₹800-crore threshold, it overtook Aamir Khan's "PK," which had previously held the record for the highest-grossing Indian film with ₹769 crore. This was followed swiftly by "Chhaava," starring Vicky Kaushal, which grossed ₹807 crore.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, "Dhurandhar 2" features a star-studded cast that includes R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. The film is a sequel to the first "Dhurandhar," which earned a whopping ₹1300 crore worldwide and is still showing in theaters three months after its December release.

With such a strong performance, "Dhurandhar 2" is now setting its sights on surpassing the worldwide collections of other successful films like "Stree 2" and "Kantara Chapter One." Industry experts predict that it will cross the ₹900 crore mark by Tuesday, further solidifying its position as a blockbuster in Indian cinema.

The combination of a compelling storyline, a talented cast, and excellent direction has made "Dhurandhar 2" a must-watch, and it seems poised to continue breaking records as it approaches its next major milestone.
