Diwali Muhurat Trading 2023: When and Why

Diwali Muhurat Trading 2023, a symbolic event in the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE), will open for one hour on Sunday, November 12.

This session combines finance and spirituality, where traders seek prosperity for the new financial year through symbolic trades. It also marks the commencement of the new Hindu calendar year (Samvat).

The NSE announced trading hours from 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm, with a block deal window opening at 5:45 pm. This tradition is considered auspicious, and in recent years, the market has seen positive outcomes on Muhurat trading days. Both BSE and NSE will be closed on November 14 for Diwali Balipratipada.
