Flipkart Introduces ₹3 Platform Fee to Boost Operations

Walmart-owned Flipkart has quietly introduced a ₹3 platform fee on its e-commerce platform, similar to charges by quick commerce firms like Swiggy and Zomato.

This fee applies uniformly across orders up to ₹10,000 but excludes Flipkart Grocery and Cleartrip. The fee aims to support efficient operations and enhance user experience. While rivals like Amazon and Meesho don’t impose such fees, Flipkart's quick commerce arm, Flipkart Minutes, and Myntra already do. The move comes as quick commerce gains market share, challenging traditional e-commerce players.
