Foreign investors withdrew Rs 21,612 crore from Indian equities in November 2024, following an even larger outflow of Rs 94,017 crore in October, according to NSDL data.
This marks a sharp reversal from the net inflows seen from June to September, including Rs 57,724 crore in September alone. Year-to-date, FPIs have pulled out Rs 15,019 crore after investing a record Rs 1,71,107 crore in 2023. Despite this, India’s stock markets showed resilience, with Sensex closing 759 points higher at 79,802.79 and Nifty50 gaining 216 points to end at 24,131.
